Check your system specs for a 200+ FPS run. Your PC part list suggests a high-end build, but the monitor limits you to under 144 FPS despite high settings. Adjust in-game resolution or frame rate if needed.

Your display supports up to 144 frames per second, but you're using 200 fps. This can cause performance issues or visual artifacts because the graphics card is trying to render more than it can handle.

My 970 easily pushes the default 300 fps with a 4790k. Are you sure VSync is turned off? (No double or triple buffering either.) How does the CPU perform—per core, not total usage? And what about the GPU? Also, any OS details, NVIDIA driver version, resolution, or other factors that might impact FPS?

Set the maximum frame rate to zero and keep it at the standard 300. Your GPU might be upgrading its clock speed.
