Hey everyone, do you know how many CPU cores used by these games will be needed? Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, NFS Heat, RDR2, the new Cod Black Ops, Warzone, and Rainbow Six Siege require attention! Thanks for the help!

based on what i've noticed in reviews, performance is limited to 6 cores or threads. however, this is expected to improve as more developers adopt multicore support.

Optimal performance is seen with 6c/12t CPUs in gaming right now. Going beyond that offers very little extra benefit. You might see a slight improvement—perhaps 2-5%—but it's not the main factor. It's less about the number of cores and more about how well each CPU handles overall workloads. For example, an 8-core processor like the 10700K can still outperform a slower 5600X in games that utilize multiple cores, such as Assasins Creed Odyssey. My wording may not be perfect, but I hope this clarifies my point.

You missed the mark. The discussion isn't focused on core or thread count. In most cases, they use the number of threads you have, though not in an optimal way.

this game claims to be 20 years old yet still relies on multiple threads, despite clear performance drops. it seems unlikely such a gap would exist if even small improvements mattered, especially since in early 2015 an i5 and i7 showed similar results at the same clock speed.
