Gingerbread can't be truly compared to KitKat or Lollipop. Significant enhancements have been made. I believe both iOS and Android have their own issues, but reliability shouldn't dictate your choice. It's all about personal taste.

4.4 is decent, the lollipop remains somewhat unstable but should improve soon. Also, many adjustments can be made.

My Nexus 6 runs Android Lollipop smoothly. It seems normal for this to happen.

KitKat runs smoothly on 600 or 800 CPU cores without TouchWiz.

It's good to know the game was updated three days ago, making it quite stable now. The theme engine is finally in place, though we still have just two checks left before it's fully ready.

I disliked the touch feature and moved to a Nexus instead.

Touchwiz works quite poorly. I used it on my HTC Desire C for some time, but it became slow and unresponsive later on.
