How is Android now?
I’m using the cyanogen mod and it’s working fine for me. I’m not familiar with Android yet—I only had an iPhone 4s at the start of last year. I miss how simple its interface was and how smooth everything ran without freezing or apps crashing. That’s something I don’t get often on Android, especially since I use it a lot.
Certainly, using an Android version packed with unnecessary apps will make the device slow—definitely not what you want. Opt for a phone with an unlocked bootloader or one that stays close to the original Android setup. Motorola models like the Moto X, G, and Turbo perform exceptionally well. The One Plus One with CyanogenMod offers a stock-like experience. Nexus phones also deliver great results; I own a GS4 running a modified Android version that works flawlessly. It lasts about two days on a single charge and charges quickly.
4.4.x performs well, though 5.0.x retains a beta-like vibe despite multiple updates.
