How do u feel about Steam Xmas Sale 2014
All the excitement has faded, did it live up to your expectations or fell short? I was really excited at first, but it turned out to be a letdown. I ended up buying around four games. Before the game began, I imagined spending about ten and more than 60 pounds. Yet I managed to keep it under 60 pounds.
Picked up Arkham City, Mirrors Edge, Assassins Creed III, and The Witcher 2. Games I either overlooked / never got around to playing. Got all of them for like 5 dollars each. Absolute steal and they're all very good (subjective) Steam sales are always good imo. Some people complain about the lack of variety - I accept that the sales exist at all, and appreciate it. Waiting for next year / summer sale, when the fall titles of 2014 will be way less than they were this holiday sale.
I tried to keep costs under ten dollars, but after the transaction my account showed a little over ten dollars missing. The worst part was discovering I don’t really enjoy most of those indie titles. One of my New Year’s goals is to avoid buying so many indie games during Steam sales again.
I found several games at reasonable prices and managed to use cash from Steam sales, which helped ease my concerns. However, I noticed most people didn’t really need cards for any meaningful purpose, so I didn’t receive much value per card. Additionally, I couldn’t create a badge or obtain something with real worth in the market. I’m hoping they’ll reinstate those features next year.
I wasn't really upset since I didn't purchase any games. I just didn't buy anything during this Steam Sale for the first time.
