Hey there, I’m trying to adjust my Ryzen 5 3600 settings from BIOS instead of Ryzen Master. I’m using a 4.2 GHz clock at 1.1 volts, but I find it frustrating because Ryzen Master keeps changing the values every time I restart. I checked the BIOS settings and saw options like CPU Clock Ratio and Dynamic vCore voltage. I set the clock ratio to 42.00, but I’m unsure about adjusting the voltage to 1.1V. When tweaking the dynamic vCore, the changes jump too high—sometimes up to +0.018 or even +0.100—so it doesn’t settle at the right value. There’s also an AMD Overclocking section where I can input voltage and frequency, but I’m not sure what numbers to enter. I’m confused about whether to type 42 and 11 or 4200 and 1100. Could someone clarify how the Overclocking works here? I’d really appreciate your help so I can get my CPU back to 4.2 GHz at 1.1V smoothly. Thanks!

Ryzen Master can indeed be configured to boot during startup, and it also launches in a minimized state so you remain unaware of its presence. This approach is more secure since any mistakes with overclocking won't impact recovery or safe mode. Setting it in BIOS would require a full reset and restart, which is less convenient.

There isn't a way to preserve the setting each time the system restarts. I have to adjust it manually after every restart. It's secure but quite challenging to do so regularly.

Adjust multiplier to 42 (base clock equals frequency). For voltage, experiment and aim for 1.15v; calibrate Load Line Calibration to a reasonable level. Apply load to the CPU and observe received voltage, tweak voltage and LLC accordingly. Set voltage above 1.1v since droop will occur; higher voltage is needed if you target 1.1v under load. Avoiding droop is important to prevent issues.

It appears the settings are stored in AMD's overclocking tools, likely within the BIOS, though the exact location isn't guaranteed.

The BIOS should retain its configurations upon startup, ensuring they aren't lost after a reboot.

Use the BIOS directly. BIOS adjustments can't change Ryzen Master's settings, so you're back to the traditional method. Set the negative voltage offset and loadline calibration to medium, or pick a middle value if levels are numerical.

No one has asked before... but what motherboard are you running? Like ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming or Gigabyte Aorus B550 Pro, etc. Also, which BIOS version is your system using?
