How do I make my RAM run faster?
How do I make my RAM run faster?
Maybe you should try changing the BIOS settings, but it probably won't work well. The best chance of success comes from increasing the voltage for the DRAM chip once XMP has been turned on. I've heard many times that using four sticks is more likely to cause problems when trying to go very fast because it puts too much extra stress on the memory controller.
Hey! I'm trying to speed up my RAM, but something isn't working right now. I have an Asus motherboard with a Core i9 10900K. When I use the XMP profile, it sets a frequency automatically. But when I click save and reset, nothing happens. My ram is four sticks of 16GB each at 3600MHz G-Skill Trident. I can currently get up to 3200MHz, which is the limit.
did turning up the voltage help? should I mix two different RAM kits?
I am testing out four identical RAM sticks, and I'm a newcomer to boosting clock speeds. I don't know exactly how much extra voltage I need to add.
You have a 32GB memory, which means your device has two separate chips, making it feel like you have one big piece of RAM split into two.
