Once more, I don't think IDS/IPS is extremely helpful. I've turned it on with my Ubiquiti but don't really focus on it much. Another important point you haven't covered is DNS and encrypted DNS. Or any parental safe DNS or ad blocking options. These are also vital parts of network security that should be considered.
Which specific model of your Ubiquiti router do you have? That will help me identify its security features. Thank you for your patience.
All the Ubiquiti UniFI routers (they call them gateways) have the same feature set.
Most new users chose one of the Cloud gateways --

The cloud gateways run the management software internally so they are more convenient for new users.
