So if i install a secondary router/firewall, it will isolate network A from network B and vice versa. Correct? This way, the VLAN tags won't be ignored. What do you think of the examples you gave for the router/firewall and the switch? Thanks.

If you connect a second router with the WAN to the ISP LAN, I mentioned that before. B would consider A as 'the internet', just like they do with www.google.com. So could a user on B access a device on A using an IP address? Yes. There’s no protection preventing it because both are on the LAN side of the ISP router.

I get what you're saying: I'm not overly concerned about B being able to access A. What concerns me more is A being able to access B. Because, as you pointed out, B is the network that should be the most secure.

As mentioned before, MiroTik offers lower costs and more features, though it may be challenging to set up. It can offer you network protection and VLANs, but I’m unsure if it’s possible to configure them properly. The D-Link switch supports VLANs as well; I haven’t tried it yet, so I don’t know how simple the setup would be. For network B, is Wi-Fi not necessary?

Hi Kanewolf.
I understand that setting up the MikroTik can be challenging, but I’m confident I can manage it.
It would be great if it included Wi-Fi, but since it’s not available (I’ve noticed this), I could create an access point or use an old TP-Link router as a workaround.
I’m open to any other ideas or solutions you might suggest.
Thanks!

I've already rejected your suggestion. MikroTik offers integrated WIFI routers --
https://mikrotik.com/product/hap_ax3
But they have fewer wired connections.

Is there any concern? I switched from MikroTik to Ubiquiti UniFI. I'm happy with my decision over the past six years, having purchased my first UniFI AP in 2019.

Do you suggest using the Ubiquiti?
Sorry, the Hap AX3 doesn't support IDS/IPS.
Thank you for your assistance.
