identical outcomes... everything feels brand new, which makes it hard to figure out the issue. If temperatures stay higher during load, I might convince my wife to purchase an AIO. Edited May 24, 2020 by djd3

I suspect the graphite pad was the issue—probably used it too often. The room temperature is about 24°C, and I saw a cooler than 10°C with a fresh pad. It reached a maximum of 85°C during heavy CPU use in Cinebench.
