I changed my Gigabyte B450 DS3H to an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and encountered overheating issues. Both the stock cooler and my aftermarket cooler are causing temperature spikes. When I run Cinebench, I see temperatures between 90-95°C on the stock cooler and it shuts down during overclocking. The Gigabyte board handled 4.2GHz at 82°C during the test, but I've tested different coolers, reapplied paste, adjusted fans, and even ran the CPU fan at full speed without success. It seems there might be a discrepancy in how the MSI is monitoring temperatures compared to the Gigabyte board.

They usually mention the stock voltage during overclocking or auto settings. Auto voltage tends to be higher than necessary, while stock configurations with the latest Ryzen models often lead to temperature spikes.
