That’s unrelated to anything you’re saying. You mentioned wanting a 360 AIO, but it seems like you’re confusing things. My 5800X is already cooled with an NH-U9S, so you don’t really need that upgrade. Your reason for asking is probably just to feel safer, but honestly, if you’re serious about the situation, you should ask directly. The person who needs to worry should be you, not me.

Get a top-notch assassin, it’ll definitely impress. That 5800x3d at $35 should rival coolers like the Fuma 2. Making a custom loop this way is tricky—my $20 budget loop probably fits a 360mm AIO due to the tight fit (~4.5cm) and the ~400mm fan size. It’s a real hassle, but I can still manage. Adding more fans for less cost would be a smart move.

I mentioned AIO or bust since it uses liquid cooling and is more affordable than a custom loop. I'm pretty sure I made that point too, but you're trying to build something from scratch. Have you ever seen me recommend an air-cooled setup for a high-end chip? No, never. But if you want, I can share my thoughts on your air-cooled test rig in the thread and you can explain it however you like.

I suggest Thermalrght FC140, you won’t find temperatures in the 90s with that cooler. A user at TPU who uses X3D praised it. You don’t need an AIO—people here running their CPU and AIO are getting higher temps than this one.

I'm curious about how that cooler stacks up against the Ak620 and Fuma 2, which seem to fit its price range. Still think it's top-notch because it's affordable, and since it's not overclockable, you shouldn't worry much until temperatures hit over 90°C.
