The focus shifts elsewhere. While the cursor's final position is visible, the full path isn't. With a refresh rate of about 7 ms per image, updating every 0.1 ms adds no value. Even if the engine changes its internal state separately from what you see, it won't do so quickly enough at 8000 Hz. This creates extra strain and delays. Consider this. If it remains unclear, let me know—I'm interested to see your thoughts.
why are you stuck on monitor so much? it does not matter whether you see or not, precision is still better. it is like aiming with bow, they didn't use scopes until 20th century... and the ones who shoot without scope are better bowmen btw. there were a competition between tribal hunters of madagascar and city boy, they completely destroyed him. i understand that it maybe important for you, to see it on monitor, but this is not really what 8k is for. there is testing software for pro gamers, where you can try and do some actions with minimal delay, i tried it and you know what? human can easily enough click faster than 3 ms, and with movement of cursor it would be even faster, ofc monitor would not show it but you still do input. monitor is output device, it does not matter at all here.
