It's puzzling why people are taken aback by this. Their recent games haven't impressed much in terms of design and execution.

Evaluating a game before its official launch often brings up certain strategies... It can be unethical to boost excitement, yet sometimes adjustments are necessary for a smoother release. Firms like Ubisoft analyze player interest through sales data. If you don’t agree with the game’s appearance despite purchasing it, they may keep repeating similar approaches.

The siege was the biggest letdown due to the significant drop in graphics quality. Many improvements were anticipated, yet the game shifted nearly 100% from closed beta to launch, which is disappointing. It looked stunning during the closed beta phase. I really hope they bring back some of the great visuals and features in a future update.

However, it's still solid with 120fps at 290x the top settings and 1080p resolution—just no AA included. That’s a win!

I've never experienced this port before either. I saw that video earlier today, and all the games seemed disappointing in terms of graphics. What's important is that in that video, Rainbow Six Siege definitely didn't look that poor even when maximized.

Some individuals may believe graphical downgrading offers real benefits, yet I feel it would be better to include choices for enhancing graphics similar to those in the announcement trailers. It seems unnecessary to create additional effort since such features are already available, but they haven’t been released yet.

Are you taking advantage of the ultraHD texture DLC available at no cost? The games sometimes freeze unexpectedly, and certain maps are overly optimized to the point where adjustments don’t matter much. Running with ultra textures, 2x anisotropic, and all high settings without many features works fine for me—though at 1440p on a heavily overclocked 390, it struggles to keep a steady 50fps. My detailed settings are listed below; the ones I’ve turned off are mainly to eliminate a strange static filter that makes distant objects too obvious. Keep in mind, if I wanted a bit more realism, these changes would help, but since I prioritize maximum performance and visual clarity while playing, disabling them improves things significantly. Be aware, though—I have unique preferences for my settings, especially because I’m an ESL competitor and those small differences can be crucial. I’ll definitely take any edge I can get. Medium reflection quality, No ambient occlusion, No lens effects, No Zoom Depth of Field, No post-processing, No multisample AA.
