Remove the battery, pause briefly, then reinsert it. This method works better than attempting to short the jumper. (Also, a case reset button can be attached to the CMOS reset header for easier BIOS recovery)

Would restarting reset your BIOS to its earliest release? Since you have a Ryzen 5000 processor, would you need to update the BIOS as well?

It retains the existing BIOS version while clearing all configurations such as OC, fan curves, and system time.
