I'm not confident about that. I didn't secure the lid before going to sleep, and I returned from school with a messy appearance.

unless my vision misleads, it appears pressed inward at the top center, lifting the outer edges upward. thus the swelling isn’t actually outward. if the key were flat, its surface would remain even. but if it has genuinely melted from heat? then the heat source hasn’t disappeared and right now only a melted key remains—uncertain what comes next regarding further damage.
