I didn’t intend to purchase it right away—I just wanted to test the beta. However, playing in the middle of nowhere with only intermittent internet access makes competitive play less appealing. One of my favorite experiences in Battlefront 1 and 2 was cooperative local play, which is what I was exploring for this game.

I've encountered numerous opinions questioning the game's quality, especially since it's been a while before a fair review. After spending 12 hours with all Beta features enabled, I'm sharing my impressions. The shooting system is quite effective—Star Cards alter your approach significantly. For example, the personal shield lets you engage in uplinks or power-ups even during combat, making it ideal for objectives. Pairing it with a sniper rifle and jet pack allows strong positioning on hills, complemented by the MG for defensive play. There are also passive cards; currently only one exists in Beta, which shortens cooldown times when you land headshots, and as levels rise, the cooldown decreases further. Based on what's visible, the final version will likely include over 20 Star Cards, offering diverse strategies. Customization is limited in Beta but hints at a richer selection ahead. Walker Assault feels like a reimagined rush game with some flaws, though improvements are expected before release. The spawn mechanics are weak right now, but I suspect they'll be refined. The mode isn't as balanced as it appears, especially for the rebels, and objectives can be tricky to grasp. Speeders work well, but the AT-AT elimination remains a challenge. The capture-the-hill format is enjoyable, though it may become repetitive with limited content. Co-op waves are lighthearted, particularly with friends, but the Beta's simplicity might make it too easy. Collectibles and vehicles are mostly absent in Beta, leaving their purpose unclear until the full game. Heroes can be picked up as power-ups or spotted through walls, similar to other items. Overall, the game shows potential but needs significant polish, especially on servers and balance. I'm concerned about connection stability without a dedicated server browser, which could disrupt gameplay. This wasn't a problem in earlier versions, but it's something to watch closely.

Worked smoothly on my SR2 rig—no problems at all with the 290X.

This title has climbed to my top favorite ever. It's a milestone—it replaced BF4, the game I really cherish, though it still ranks second. The visuals enhance the immersion, giving the impression you're part of the film, and every effect is simply eye-catching. The mechanics are solid, clearly designed for a beta but polished now. 11 out of 10.
