When selecting the partition choice to install the W8, pick the drive option (or remember the exact name) and remove all partitions without choosing them, then click format. Delete each partition individually. Once done, you'll see XXXX GB of unused space. Click it and proceed to the next step without creating any new partitions. If this doesn't work, verify your installer supports EFI like Lutzee advised, or adjust BIOS settings or use a different ISO.
