Help me overclock i7

Someone is suggesting I should overclock my i7 6850k for better gaming performance. I'm new to OC and used the Asus EzClock, which showed it at 3.8, but I want to push it higher. Any advice?

Captaingadget suggested trying XTU, noting its simple and advanced settings with plenty of guides available. He recommended uploading your benchmark to hwbot to compare results with others using similar CPUs and motherboards. A link was provided for further details.

Try XTU. It offers both basic and advanced settings, with many tutorials available. Upload your benchmark to hwbot to compare results with others using the same CPU and motherboard.

Based on what I've observed, you aim to maintain a low continuous maximum of around 70, but the real peak is 100, causing the system to shut down to safeguard the processor.
