Yes, you're correct. You can match the long code sequence to the entries in the text file on Linux Mint.

We reviewed the matter carefully. It seems both the integrity and authenticity are verified, supported by the provided SHA256sum.txt.gpg file.

If the checksum matches, the ISO is fine, no need to worry about GPG

The GPG file is a tool used for encrypting and verifying digital content. It helps ensure that the data you receive is authentic and hasn't been altered. This verification process confirms the identity of the sender and the integrity of the message.

When you obtain ISOs through a torrent, they get checked on their own.

You just opened a few university links. Are those files available for download? I’m not very familiar with software, but I’ll help you figure it out.

The download link is simply marked as "Torrent" and appears above the regular mirror options. A program like qBittorrent would be suitable for using it.

I successfully retrieved the ISO using the torrent link on my Raspberry Pi. After completing all verification procedures, the system indicated the signature was valid, but in my case it displayed uncertainty about whether the signature is correct or not. The same happened with the ISO downloaded from one of the universities.

If you receive the ISO via a torrent, verification happens automatically. Just remember, I haven't checked any ISO myself and never faced issues from it before.
