Headset audio is experiencing a crackling issue.
Has anyone encountered any experience with the Logitech G733 Headset?
Lately, I've faced problems where the headset cracks unexpectedly and produces a very thin sound. This occurs roughly every 8 to 10 minutes, and when it starts, it takes about five minutes to resolve unless I power it off and turn it back on. Currently, I'm testing the headset on five different devices. The computer running the issue has an ASUS Prime B360M-A motherboard equipped with an i5-9600K CPU.
I've explored BIOS settings, drivers, various operating systems, audio drivers, BIOS configurations, power-saving options, a USB-powered hub, GHUB features, and even removed GHUB. I also tried disabling different applications and stopping them from booting, among other things. Using LatencyMon didn't help either. At this point, I suspect the problem might be related to the motherboard itself, possibly because it can't handle the G733 model? I've also attempted to reduce 2.4 GHz interference, but nothing changed. Anyone have suggestions for a solution? I'm considering using a USB PCIe card.
While writing this, the same headset is being used on a 12700k with an Asus TUF Z690 D4 (no issues) and a 14900k with a ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming Wi-Fi (no issues), preparing to test it on a 12400F with an older board. I've also tried an i7 11800H ROG M16 Zeph and an i7 9700K with an Asus Prime Z390-A, both functioning well. Additionally, I've used an i7 160GHz ROG M16 Zeph and it worked perfectly.
Was es nicht funktionieren, ob ein anderes Kopfhörer am Problem-Computer verwendet wird, um zu prüfen, ob das Gerät oder die Kopfhörer die Ursache sind?
Audio performs well on both channels. Static still impacts both when it appears. Tested across all USB ports on the motherboard and front IO ports on the case. The problem persists on every port, even with a powered hub.
Have you checked if anything else with audio is connected? Like Discord, etc. Is it possible to close all audio-related apps? Are there any other USB devices plugged in? Could I unplug everything USB—maybe just leave the keyboard or mouse—and test the headset alone? I’m curious if other USB devices might be affecting it on the motherboard.
Issues occur with all devices and systems. The test was limited to just the headphones; after a short time, the sound quality deteriorated, becoming crackly and sounding like static. For the initial moments, however, the audio remained crystal clear.
