Verify both tubes are warm; check if the radiator is as well. Boost fan speed on your fans. See if performance drops at full speed. If it’s nearly too hot to handle, your radiator isn’t efficiently removing heat for the CPU. You may need higher fan speeds or a bigger radiator. Fans push air through the radiator unless they’re reversed, which seems unlikely.
Have you verified your temperatures using another tool such as HWINFO? It gathers data from multiple sensors on the CPU and MOBO. Make sure the readings match closely. Understanding CPU temperature sensor details | HWiNFO Forum Have you considered adjusting your case orientation so airflow from the pump reaches the radiator?
I just checked a few things:
1. No plastic on the backplate or CPU.
2. The backplate makes contact with the CPU because it has thermal paste from being placed on it.
3. When idle, the BIOS CPU temp is around 68°C, but on the desktop it jumps to about 80°C.
4. The AIO tubes are all roughly the same temperature—none feel hot or cold.
BIOS reports these readings: processor at 68°C, system temperature 29°C, MOS temperature 35°C, chipset 41°C.
I can verify that HWINFO displays identical temperature values around 80°C during idle time.
I have tested this on my tubes and radiator and I can also feel no difference between hot and cold even if I run a stress test for 1 minute. Do you have a stock AMD air cooler lying around for testing?
Unfortunately, I don’t own any stock cooler. However, I placed an order for a Noctua NH U12s, hoping it will fix all my cooling problems when it arrives this Saturday.
