New Vegas had a lively vibe for me. I actually wanted more of Obsidian’s involvement in FO4, as many quests and characters seemed realistic. As for the city itself, it could have been more vibrant.

It seemed like the whole game lacked excitement. The Mojave Wasteland didn’t get a nuclear hit, but it still felt empty. Fallout 3 wasn’t the best technically compared to New Vegas, yet it didn’t have much personality. I really like Bethesda’s storytelling more. It’s cool to notice that I felt the same about the KotOR series. TSL is better technically, but in the end, I’d rather play the original KotOR.

Fallout 4 is the musical equivalent of a drum beat and bass line. It has a melody, and forms a complete statement, but there is still plenty of space left to fill in. It's going to prove a modders paradise, and in a year or two it will be something awesome.

I haven’t delved that deep into the game yet to assess it personally, but it seems quite intense from a distance. I haven’t played much of it myself since it’s highly optimized right now.

I received shoes that click and jingle... I’ll never forget why. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLphfppRIaU This game almost always looks the same... except back then it was designed for the keyboard and mouse. I used to be able to easily assign my controls like now.

It seems like they exaggerated Diamond City to match New Vegas in a playful way. Still, the place feels really bad, and the better city is Goodneighbor.

It turned out to be more of a letdown than anticipated. The excitement didn't match the reality. Even though I wasn’t overly enthusiastic, disappointment remained. (From NV) Bethesda...never changes. We’ll have to wait for Obsidian to deliver another strong Fallout title. I’m nearing the end, but it’s been hard to stay motivated for the main storyline since... well, after that big twist you’ll likely notice coming soon (though it might not be exactly the same, but something similar is sure to appear). Then the game just stops offering anything meaningful. It’s just the factions handing out quests. Pick one faction and eliminate the others. That’s all. All of them seem like weak options to me. The Institute doesn’t treat Synths as sentient beings and sees them as tools. The Brotherhood of Steel is deeply prejudiced and problematic. The Railroad has questionable motives. At least the Minutemen exist, but they’re irrelevant. Plus, you keep getting quests from them for no clear reason. If I want to support the Institute, why do I end up with missions from the Brotherhood of Steel aimed at undermining them? What’s going on? The dialogue system is terrible. Honestly, the “Sarcastic” choice feels confusing. It seems they wanted a mixed experience, but it just adds to the frustration.

I really like being in Diamond City. It might be a bit compact, but it feels nice. She mentioned close-range + V.A.T.S + Shotgun is the best <3
