I own a fun gaming laptop from Acer Nitro 5 priced at 450 bucks. It surprised me when I connected it to my TV—it didn’t support 4K resolution. I downloaded drivers for the Radeon RX 580, which made it work at 4K. Gaming laptops are the only ones available in stores right now when they’re on sale.
I'm wondering if the PC I built is capable of running VR or even supporting it. I have an Oculus Rift, but I can't put it on my laptop because it doesn't have DisplayPort or USB Type-C ports. It only has HDMI and Type-C charging.
The Oculus supports various display inputs such as touchscreens, webcams, and external monitors.
