Have questions about your new build?
Hey there. I'm just starting out with a gaming rig and have a limited budget, so I'm being careful. I have an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6x3.2 Gigabyte GA-AB350 motherboard, AMD B350 AM4 Dual Channel ATX model up to 64GB RAM. I'm unsure if the 16GB (two 8GB) DDR4 3000 MHz PC4-24000 LEVEN RGB memory will fit in the case I picked—SaharaGaming H600B E-ATX/ATX/M-ATX/ITX. It supports up to 360mm water cooling, 20/14/12cm fans, four 2.5-inch SSDs and three 3.5-inch HDDs, a video card length of 380mm, and the CPU is 188mm tall. I have a Radeon RX 580 with 8GB RAM on sale. For storage, I'm using an M2 SSD but not sure if it fits. The motherboard supports M.2 slots, so I should be okay there. I'm really not sure about the RAM and SSD fit, especially since I'm not familiar with the setup. My English isn't great either, and I don’t want to mess up anything important. Can you confirm if these components will work together?
To find out what works and has been tested on a motherboard, visit the QVL section of the motherboard manufacturer’s site. In your case: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/...support-dl. If something isn’t listed there, it doesn’t guarantee compatibility and may lead to manual adjustments or issues. Just steer clear of this unless you’re comfortable with those steps. To be honest, I’m not familiar with that brand. At this price, better and more reliable RAM options are available. M.2 slot should work fine. That’s about all.
Just to clarify, if the RAM won't work, I can return it to eBay. I’m sure you don’t need more than 16 GB of RAM for games—it’s already worth mentioning: the line is pretty cool. I was really panicking because there seems to be a non-ECC and ECC/etc type of RAM available, so I’m unsure which one fits this situation. I can’t put ECC in a non-ECC motherboard, but I get it from videos. Probably these are the same brands. Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz C15 LED Desktop Memory - B...
Some options aren't included in the list. My game has G.Skill Trident Z Royal, but it isn't shown for my board.
Just figured it’s working now. Probably I didn’t enable RAM support, and the BIOS battery might not be connected. #WOOT I got my Ryzen and everything… thanks for the support page. It’ll really help if you share the latest BIOS downloads and drivers:
On the support page, you can simply download all the latest drivers.
You're really puzzled, aren't you? Checking your PC diagnostics shows it's an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 12 cores. That should be a solid setup!
