PC specifications include an Asus TUF gaming build with Z790 Plus, Wi-Fi 2x16, 16GB RAM sticks, DDR5 memory, Intel Core i9-13900K, and an Evga 3080Ti. After a week of normal operation, the system would restart to BIOS and show issues with one stick detecting only 16GB while another reported 16460 MB. Troubleshooting steps involved resetting the PC, checking RAM detection, testing both slots, and replacing the CPU with AIO. The issue seemed linked to one RAM module not booting properly despite correct installation.

Hi there, Have you experimented with using XMP? I believe your other RAM module might be faulty. RAM issues are common and can often be fixed. If hardware isn't displaying correctly in the BIOS, it usually points to a deeper issue. You might attempt a BIOS reset, which can sometimes resolve the problem. Remove the CMOS battery for a short time.

Check if the items are from the same brand and model when looking at the second and fourth positions one at a time.

This indicates the RAM module is completely failed. You must return it for replacement. The reason behind its failure remains uncertain. It might stem from a production flaw, a BIOS error raising memory voltage too high (though most DDR5 models handle this well), or another unknown problem. The board's difficulty with memory training—especially when using the working stick—suggests fastboot functionality may be compromised. Turn off fastboot in the BIOS settings and it should resume operation, though boot times might increase slightly.

Oh ok yes indeed I contactes teamgroup and they sent me the order to send it back. Although I forgot to mention that. That ram wasnt in the qvl. Idk if this really matters but I have bought another set on Amazon and I also have checked that thos one is qvl ddr5 g skill. I was so worried about this issue but this makes me feel more calmed. Thank you so much for your time and replying

I attempted it all at once. It started up with just one of them, while the other failed to boot on any slot.

Hi there! Yes, I managed without using xmp. It worked well clearing the CMOS, and each RAM operated independently without issues. I only needed to use the other one across all channels. I also have the newest BIOS, Intel firmware, and all matching drivers installed.

Purchase a 5600C32 with a preference for 5600C30 or 6000C32 for durable rams that work well in upcoming builds and overclocking.

Great to hear! Your order for the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB Series includes 32 GB of 16 GB modules, 288 pins, and supports DDR5 with XMP profile at 6000 MHz.
