Dear All, assistance needed with PBO and RAM timing. PBO scaling at 10x, +200MHz, -30 for all core RAM. Timing specs: 26-36-36-96. Refer to the video for CB R23. Setup details: CPU AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RAM G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo 6000MHz 32GB (2x16GB). GPU F5-6000J2636H16GX2-TZ5NR. Mobo MEG X870E, GPU Asus ROG Strix RTX 4090 OC Edition, case Fractal Design. Storage WD_Black 2TB SN850 NVMe, PSU Corsair RM1000X 2021 (triangular grille), cooler Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360mm.

To boost CPU speed, consider optimizing system settings and ensuring proper hardware configuration. Regarding RAM timing, it should be fine if it matches your processor's requirements; otherwise, tightening it might help.

Activate DOCP in BIOS to adjust RAM timings and voltages dynamically. Turn on PBO for enhanced CPU performance. For instance, a base clock of 3.8 GHz becomes 4.0 GHz after enabling PBO and ASUS Optimal Config.

CL26 is significantly below what's needed for 6000MT/sec, typical high-end builds run on CL30 as a baseline. Adjusting the multiplier beyond that point offers minimal benefit, especially for PBO.

5425Mhz offers a solid boost but pushing it further isn't necessary. I've experienced it myself and am satisfied with the performance. Returns tend to decrease as you increase the frequency. You might find a YouTube tutorial helpful—it shows someone achieving 5725Mhz.

I haven't bothered doing actual overclocking on my 9800x3D since I'd argue, 5GHz is the sweet spot. If you're comfortable with 5.4GHz, going past that is where things get ridiculous, if you can get the chip to draw enough power to get any higher. There's severe diminishing returns relative to power consumption as you up the clock speed, something that becomes a problem in mITX rigs that compromise on CPU cooler capacity. Mine runs without a clock speed offset and just an undervolt via PBO2 to run at 5.2GHz. The difference in power draw between 5GHz to 5.2GHz to 5.4GHz is like another +15W draw at peak loading, but like +30W average. Another rig I built with a 9800x3D, i actually have a -200MHz offset so it runs at 5GHz for what I'd consider maximum performance/watt. If you really do care to push past 5.4GHz, you're likely not going to get the help you need here, that's really up to your own skills in overclocking.

Considered 5725Mhz with PBO or manual OC. After trying manual adjustments, I set Vcore to 5400Mhz with Vcore v1.225 but the system still wouldn’t boot after clearing CMOS. Then switched to Vcore v1.250, which also failed to start. Uncertain what’s causing the issue.
