I believe 16 GB of RAM is ideal, like this: since you don’t have time to run everything step-by-step, and you want the game to run smoothly, it can make a big difference. It depends on how much you multitask.

I just updated the drivers released yesterday, and I ran Conquest 64/64—my GPU usage stayed under 40%.

I own an i5 6400 with 8GB RAM and an R9 380X. The GTX 1060 offers decent power but feels like a solid fit; however, upgrading to an i5 6500 or 6600 would likely provide even better performance. From my experience, overclocking the GTX 1060 to around 4.59GHz has significantly boosted its speed.

More RAM is essential these days. I've encountered games that won't run well on 8GB anymore, so I had to upgrade. Switching from an i5 to another i5 isn't worth it—even a K would be better. It's best to save and upgrade to an i7.
