GTA V Storage
GTA V Storage
Consider using an SSD for faster performance, as you have 150GB available and don’t expect to expand storage soon.
Your download speeds will rise, but other metrics like FPS won’t improve.
That’s not really about speed—it’s just a boot process. I use an old HDD, and it’s not a stressful wait for loading. It varies with the SSD size; if it’s under 256GB, I don’t mind much.
I technically have less space. Hehe. I own a 250GB Samsung 850 EVO drive. I’ve allocated 100GB for Windows and drivers, leaving 150GB available. Is it still fine to install GTA V on the SSD?
I haven't noticed any improvement in the game speed. I've tested it on both SSD and HDD. I spent 26 hours downloading the game multiple times just to check it. While load times exist, they mainly reflect general loading rather than speeding up gameplay. For large games, it might be better to install them on HDD to avoid reinstalling later.
The game runs much quicker on my 850 EVO compared to my WD Black. If you have ample space, go ahead and install it on an SSD.
