Other than marginally quicker startup, there’s no significant benefit using an SSD. I tested it and ultimately returned it to my HDD since the improvement in speed was minimal.

You observe a noticeable improvement in load times. If saving 1-2 seconds with an SSD helps, I’d choose that option. How much quicker does it actually load? Thanks for the detailed question.

The game launched quickly at first, maybe a bit quicker than expected, but once it needed to find an online session it took the same amount of time. If that quick start matters, I should consider it. However, I tend to play online too much, so saving that extra minute didn’t really matter for me or my storage.

I'm using a 50% full, 240GB Intel 535 series SSD. It still needs about 30 seconds to reach the startup screen (where you pick online, story mode, options, etc.) and another 30 seconds to launch the game. It's been a while since I moved it from my HDD, but the difference wasn't huge. You can swap the game instead of redownloading if you think it's not worth it. Moving it takes roughly 10 minutes to download a few files.

It looked like the game loaded about 20-30 seconds quicker on my SSD compared to HDD, which isn’t a big difference, but it’s worth taking advantage of since you invested in the SSD.

GTA V runs smoothly on a standard hard drive. It’s interesting to see how SSDs might speed up Dragon Age Inquisition, especially with a fast 7200 RPM WD Black HDD.
