Hi guys So I finished downloading this massive game earlier today. Hurray!! But not. My specs are as follows: Intel Core2Quad Q9400 @ 3.00Ghz 4 GB RAM EDIT: R9 270x (please don't kill me for the 970 mistake) I can run prett much any game at low-mid settings but not this one I've turned all the settings down and still get horrible FPS. My specs are above or equal to the minimum specs so it should run smoothly at least at minimum quality shouldn't it?

This amount of memory is probably the main issue.

Het kan zijn dat de 4Gb van RAM of VRAM een rol speelt. Hoeveel VRAM heb je precies?

It's accurate now that 64-bit gaming is becoming widespread, and many titles frequently require around 4GB of RAM. This realization made me reconsider the adequacy of 8GB and even 4GB, especially with a core configuration of 2 quad cores and what I think is a 270X. Surprisingly, GTA V still performs poorly.

I will say it once more clearly.

Really hoping for that R9 970 X you mentioned... it’s strange you’re not seeing 650 fps despite that. Do you have the AMD drivers for the game? A friend told me they had issues before updating and now they’re fixed (usually after updates). Edit: I’m not too familiar with older CPUs, but does the core 2 quad have four cores or just two?

The video includes a big note saying READ DESCRIPTION. In the details, it mentions some stuttering at the end, especially when I ended everything. This is because the game uses 4GB of RAM (the same settings I used in my first GTA V). I just installed Windows recently, so I’m trying to use as much memory as possible. If you run into issues with 4GB, consider reinstalling Windows. After playing for a while with 4GB, the stuttering increased and got worse, making me think about getting 8GB for smoother performance.

But it functions well. I've noticed individuals on Reddit using 4GB RAM.
