Hello, I own a machine with a [email protected] processor, an Asus Rampage Extreme IV, 16GB G.Skill RAM, and 2133Mhz CPU (custom loop watercooling, kept at 65ºC). It runs on an Asus ROG Swift with 2560x1440@144hz G-Sync. At full settings—MSAAx2 and FXAA enabled—I see the game barely reaches 80fps while walking, drops to around 60fps during driving, and falls to 45fps when going fast or in intense scenes like desert runs. Interestingly, the cards are only running at 50-60% capacity, which means they could potentially perform better if the SLI configuration worked smoothly. Anyone else facing similar issues? Have you tried different SLI configurations? Thanks!

Since 3way SLI often doesn't perform well for scaling, consider turning off the third card.

Ensure SLI is activated in the game settings if available. Patience is key—wait for the update. Reach out to Rockstar; their support team is excellent.

The issue with using 3-way SLI involves complex multi-GPU handling, which often leads to significant frame rate drops. This challenge intensifies when additional cards are added. It's unclear exactly why you're experiencing such slow performance.

Additionally, open-world titles can experience performance drops even with high-end hardware like a 4 Titan X and a 5960x display.

It might be linked to the inconsistencies in SLI scaling.

I recall watching a YouTube clip where they showed how frame rates drop significantly in the desert, which isn't unique to me.

Adjust the EDS configuration to observe substantial speed improvements. Remember to adhere to your preferred areas of interest.

I’m going to remove one card and test 2way SLI. I noticed some games perform worse with 3way than 2way, which might be the issue. Thanks!

I just checked it out and with a 2-way setup I’m losing around 5-10 frames per second while driving, and 10-20 when walking. The minor microstuttering I experienced before (which was almost imperceptible due to G-Sync) is gone. I plan to try again using a 3-way configuration.
