Hi there, after updating the windows on my PC, the GTA 5 frame rate caps at 60fps. Vsync isn’t working and I’m still unsure what’s causing the issue. My system specs are: FX4350 graphics card, 5GHz GTX970, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 1600MHz clock speed, and a 120GB SSD. Anyone have any suggestions?

Occasionally it reaches 61 briefly, otherwise it stays at 60 or below.

The FX-4350 CPU isn't particularly fast. It might be worth adjusting the settings. If that doesn't help, third-party programs could limit the frame rate.

Back then I managed to capture frames at around 80 frames per second. To identify such software, you’d look for performance capabilities and frame rates.

Unknown programs are running; check settings like framecap on Rivatuner. Bandicam, Fraps, and others are mentioned.

I don’t own those tools; I restored Windows and GTA afterward and it ran at 60 frames per second.

Adjust all parameters to their minimum levels. If it remains at 60fps, consult the Nvidia control panel; it might indicate forced VSync.
