I am experiencing significant frame rate drops during nighttime hours (19:00 - 06:00) within Grand Theft Auto V. My PC specifications are as follows: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200g; GPU: ASUS Dual Rx 580 O-4G 4GB; Motherboard: Biostar A320MH; RAM: 2x4GB 2666MHz. I am running the game at 1080p with all settings maxed except water on normal, shadows on high, and grass on high, with Vsync disabled. During nighttime gameplay, specifically when observing urban environments, my frame rate drops to approximately 40 FPS. Conversely, during daylight hours, my frame rate consistently remains above 70 FPS. I am seeking assistance from others who may be experiencing similar issues and potential solutions to resolve this frustrating problem.

If the GPU remains at 100%, while the CPU fluctuates between 40% and 80%, you are experiencing GPU bottlenecking. I am checking if this affects my frame rates during nighttime and daytime. I am running a Ryzen 5 3600, so we can observe any changes.

No, and it does not happen only online; it also occurs in Story Mode, and I even attempted to disconnect the Ethernet cable to rule out an internet connection issue, which it was not.

It may seem unusual, but is your PC room warmer at 7:00 PM? Possibly, your PC is experiencing slight overheating leading to performance reductions. Observe your CPU and GPU temperatures to investigate this issue.

It doesn’t happen when it’s 7:00 PM in the real world; it happens when it’s 7:00 PM in the game, no matter what time is in the real world, and it happens even when I just enter the game like when my safe loads up at night.

LOL, well that’s how your post reads. When 7 PM comes, my game drops to 40 FPS. My bad.

😳

So, when the night scene comes, what are your CPU and GPU percentages running at? I read that a lot of people experience the same problem as you.

The market opened with a slight decline, falling by 0.3% in the first hour. Trading activity remained moderate, with volumes slightly below average for this time of day. As the morning progressed, the index recovered some ground, ending the session down 0.1%. Overall, it was a mixed start to the day.

Reduce shadow settings. My GPU experiences significant performance drops with shadows at maximum during gameplay.

I hope this maintains my FPS at approximately 50. Thank you for the suggestion!
