I'm starting fresh with a new build. The Amazon cart has AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, GTX 1070, and an EVGA 600W power supply. I already own the GTX 1070FTW. Back then this setup wasn't great, but now I wonder if I can just swap out my 2TB SSD without any hardware checks. Thanks for all your help so far!

B450 Steel is a popular choice with a sleek appearance. It offers solid VRM performance without breaking the bank. Price remains reasonable.

OK, understood. The motherboard supports up to 4133 MHz (OC), so a 3600 MHz RAM would fit well. That sounds like a solid pick. You mentioned you've spent a year fine-tuning your W10 setup with careful upgrades—definitely worth it for performance gains.

3600mhz ram is a solid option. You’ll need 3600mhz cas 16 memory. The Trident z neo rgb 3600 mhz cas 16 seems like a reasonable pick too, and it’s not expensive either. Install the Windows Media Creation Tool, transfer your OS to an USB drive (follow the online guide), then use an affordable M.2 SSD—128GB is a good starting point for about 30-40 bucks.

On the ram, I expect the cas 16. When discussing Windows Media Creation, I wasn't just sticking around for the OS. The whole drive... That's why I'm checking if I can pull my 2tb from another build and drop it into this new one. As I mentioned, there are many custom installs, specific add-ons, and a lot more over the past year and a half. It's not just about reinstalling programs and moving on. That's why I need to know if I can remove the drive and insert it here. Back then, you couldn't do that. But today?

Is this the same storage device your operating system uses? Or is it a distinct drive for programs and files? I reinstalled Windows previously. Most of my software and games are stored on a separate drive, and I didn’t clear it. Most applications function normally except for a few issues, which resolved easily. Just remember to back up your document folder containing save games and other important files, as you wouldn’t want them lost!

It's the same drive—just a 2TB with W10 and pre-installed software. You can swap it from the old build into the new one, right?

I'm happy with my ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming. It came ready to go with the right BIOS, and I haven't faced any problems after six months of use.
