Hi, I tried playing C:S for the first time recently. Everything seems normal—GPU fans aren’t spinning, temperature stays steady around 59°C, and utilization is about 25%. It doesn’t seem to improve, which is unusual since the fans used to spin during gameplay. The game feels very laggy and slow, especially when starting a new city. Plus, the GPU temperature hovers near 59°C most of the time. I’ve looked into this before but couldn’t find a clear solution. I’m running around 12-17 FPS. A screenshot of the stats is attached to the top left. Do you think something’s wrong? Any advice would be really helpful!

Have your drivers been updated? In the captured game screenshots, is it clear this version doesn’t limit frame rate?

The frame rate is fixed at 30 frames per second, likely for VSync synchronization or to cap the output speed.

The 2700x performance is insufficient, which is why... it's only slightly faster than Ivy Bridge in terms of throughput.

It functioned properly after installation. This appears to be a fresh problem. Also, I’m confused about why my GPU isn’t being used effectively.

Latest drivers installed, G sync active, 144Hz support. FPS cap isn't applied. Typical frame rate ranges from 12 to 17 fps; after zooming out and changing district settings, all structures disappeared.

I jumped from the same CPU to the 5600x and my 3060 gained around 30% more performance in most titles due to bottlenecking. If with your CPU C S was working at much better FPS prior? Then yeah I admit that's an issue. Did you recently update the GPU driver? Revert to the last known driver you used.

Consider disabling G-Sync to avoid unusual occurrences.

Not as far as I understand. G sync is turned on via the Nvidia control panel, and Windows is set to 144 hertz. In the C:S menu, the ‘v-sync’ feature is the only option available each second.

Well, your screenshot shows 30FPS... Does it change, or not?
