I think the card has a protective cover, meaning any worn spots will probably be hidden by a backplate or the heatsink. You’ll need to disassemble it to inspect it closely. Check if the motherboard displays any issues anywhere—examine several areas.

Did you connect your monitor cable to the motherboard during startup? Were you removing the graphics card while the system was running?
