I would pay more at this moment and receive the 3600/3600x version.
The 8600K isn't too bad, yet at that cost you'd be close to getting a R5 3600.
I receive the 3600—it’s simply a more capable processor overall. It operates more efficiently, handles modern games with up to six threads smoothly, offers stronger security features, and provides a clear route for future upgrades.
If you already own it, I wouldn't upgrade. Yet I wouldn't rush to purchase one.
