Worked with a fellow on Overclock.net who recommended using TestMem5 with the 2+ hour Annta777Extreme setup. I completed the 18-minute Annta777Medium test smoothly at 4000mhz/CAS15, but during the overnight 2-hour session I encountered seven errors beginning near the 2-hour mark and Test 15 point. The chip temperatures were 44.3°C closest to the CPU socket and 36.6°C farthest from it. Curious about the results—how do I make sense of that data? For my part, I’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077 and doing photo editing for most of the day. No problems at all, so I’m unsure what to make of those TestMem 5 extreme numbers. Should I worry or not? I have a Corsair H115i radiator mounted as an intake, blowing warm air right under the RAM sticks—about 3.5 to 4 inches below. The case stays cool thanks to plenty of airflow, even at 50°C temperatures, and my 8086K rarely exceeds 50°C even at 5.3GHz. That gives me room to adjust fan speeds or consider better cooling solutions. Maybe try stock timings like 16.18.18.36 and push for around 4200mhz? It seems like you're questioning the reliability of the process, wondering if errors might occur and whether data corruption is a real concern. The situation appears manageable since physical damage isn't expected. o.o It's possible the tool didn't locate it, or there might be no available information about it.
I also have another 16GB configuration similar to the previous one, but it's version 4.24. This 4.24 package was purchased before the 4.31 version I'm currently evaluating. Eventually I plan to replace them and compare the performance of the 4.24 set versus the newer 4.31 kit. I tested both in a 32GB setup for an extended period, but only at standard speeds and clock rates. Given that these are entirely different releases, I’m skeptical about achieving significant gains by installing all four at once. Right now I’m comfortable with 16GB using the +800MHz boost and tighter timings, mainly because I mostly play games on my system.
He designed a budget-friendly cooling fix by positioning a 140mm fan right above the heat spreader; it rests on my 3080 Ti backplate yet remains extremely lightweight, so it shouldn’t put pressure on the GPU slot. Swapped out the overclocked maximum DIMM temperature from 47°C to 37°C—lol, that’s a big win... might consider swapping back to that expensive Corsair RGB Airflow cooler and stick with this setup... saving money is great... probably will need a cheap GPU stand/pole later, but it’s fine for now...
We're holding steady at 4000mhz / 16.15.15.34 (stock IP: 16.18.18.36). ... still pending MemTest 5 using Anta777 Extreme settings, but for now the system has handled gaming and other tasks without issues all day. I plan to run MemTest 5 tonight after a crash. That fan upgrade is really making a difference—watch the attached screens around the 1.5-hour mark of a Cyberpunk 2077 session (ultra, 3840x1600, 3080i); before the upgrade. This kind of test would push my DIMM temps past 47°C... especially with the 140mm fan on the GPU back plate. I didn’t stay out of the 30s during the whole session at 1.51v RAM and those specs. That’s impressive. I think I’ll move on to tweaking the tertiary settings now. Onward.
