Tera, a major update is scheduled for December 16th. Right now you can get an extra boost until then, allowing you to hit 60. The new version raises the level cap to 65.
Appreciate all your responses—it really helps. I only worry about subscription-based MMOs unless they charge a one-time fee of $50 or $60, which is acceptable for me. If anyone has other games that match this idea, please share them. Thanks again!
