I purchased The Witcher 1 and 2 on Steam at discounted prices. They gave me CD-Keys, which GOG accepted but Origin didn’t handle well. I’ve heard Origin is quite strict with those keys.
The GOG version is free from DRM and lacks a CD key. Once released, you can obtain it directly from their website or via the GOG download client. When they update their client later, you can download it again from there. To include the game on Steam, simply list it as a non-Steam title. Multiplayer titles typically require CD keys due to the developer's preference.
