Global challenges we face today
The Oculus works well with specific titles, and I think it would be nice if more games used triple monitors like the Oculus Rift does.
I've also learned that some individuals experience motion sickness or headaches after prolonged use, suggesting it feels similar to looking at something very close to a screen.
I spend most of my time in front of the screen for 12 to 16 hours daily. The decision is tough—should I go with a bigger E-peen display, run three monitors at ultra, or use an Oculus setup? Honestly, I’m leaning toward having three monitors.
The Oculus Rift is a humorous product still in constant development. It hasn't moved forward in two years, and it won't change either way—even with the support of Fuckerberg's estate. The software is really lacking. You'd be better off getting three monitors; they’d be practical, and could have kept value if you ever needed something new. Nobody wants a used Oculus Rift.
If the oculus had been released then I’d recommend it, though it’s not yet perfect.
I had a great time testing the Oculus DK2 at the Bett Show in London this year. All the VR headsets pushed developers to completely rethink camera control for games. I don’t get moniton sickness, but man… I really wanted to vomit when I was on the virtual rollercoaster.
