I'm anticipating the outcome of Occulus/Morpheus and G-Synch Free-Synch. If forced to pick, I'd choose Occulus or Morpheus, though I believe it's still too soon to decide. Occulus offers a 3D experience, which should make it the most affordable option—possibly even cheaper than a full three-monitor system. As for Morpheus, its release seems tied to Occulus's success; if it comes out, it might be positioned as an aspirational brand with higher quality at a premium price. Personally, I see Occulus as a strong contender for gaming in the future. From a budget perspective, a three-panel setup with 3D capability would likely cost well over $1,000, especially if you opt for high-end components like nVidia and the 3D vision kit. Three monitors are great for simulations but not ideal for standard games, which can cause discomfort. I think it's wise to wait and observe before making a decision, unless you're looking to invest impulsively—then consider how VR headsets might affect your comfort. If you must decide now, the advice is to keep an eye on Occulus while you wait.
