Consider the GIGABYTE GA-B650M-DS3H. It’s worth evaluating if a pricier B650 board is necessary beyond your needs. Check compatibility with all modern AM5 processors and confirm there are no thermal or stability concerns.

It's decent, but there are superior boards, thermals, VRMs, and I/O options without a big price jump. Where are you located, and I can suggest a suitable board?

It's a solid setup. I wouldn't compromise further, particularly with Gigabyte boards—lower-end models often have quirks like PBO being turned off in the BIOS, though this one avoids that issue. This is the most affordable option without those problems. It should perform well too. Don't forget to check out the B650M-HDV/M.2; it offers solid power delivery and comparable specs but tends to be cheaper recently.

I understand there are improved boards at a slightly higher cost, around 25-30%. The B650M-HDV/M.2 is more affordable and supports M.2 PCIe Gen5x4, but it hasn’t been in stock from my usual supplier for a while. I’m looking into other alternatives.

The cost differences really depend on your location since prices change a lot

We have several options worth looking into that aren't too extravagant.

Do you have a particular size and budget in mind? A good ATX board would work, but I don’t know the current prices. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FcbRsY/...50m-pro-rs

I only see non-MATX models, yet they’re 50% pricier than the cheapest choices. I favor ATX, but if that cost is too high, I’d opt for a B650E motherboard even at a slight premium.

Is this intended for a gaming setup? I still struggle to suggest solid options without understanding your location, like in Spain where there are many good boards for the same budget. In America, the Gigabyte Eagle AX stands out compared to similar models and offers better value than most alternatives at that price range. It would be my top recommendation for most use cases considering cost and performance.

Yes, you can use PCIe 5.0 x16 and PCIe 5.0 M2 when required.
