Reformat the disk using the standard format option. After finishing, proceed with installing Windows. Ensure the drive is plugged into the SATA1 port on the motherboard and appears as the first bootable device in the BIOS.
Yes, it enables you to form a partition within the unallocated area.
Great video shared. Apologies for the delayed reply. My wife introduced me to a film. I think I’ve understood the steps now. When the install prompts for removal, you can wipe all partitions. I noticed four distinct ones. For a clean setup, remove them all except the USB used for booting and the new drive you’re building. Focus only on two items: the boot source and the target drive. Eliminating other partitions—especially reserve ones—will simplify the process. After clearing everything but the USB, create just one partition to format and proceed. This should resolve the installation smoothly. I’ll monitor from here to ensure success. Thanks a lot for the guidance. Once all extra partitions are gone, as you recalled, there were four; remove them all. At this stage, install only the boot partition. Let me know your progress. I've completed numerous clean installations without the drive appearing in the menu for deletion. I've never needed to partition filesystems, simply installing the OS onto the HDD and booting into setup when the system restarts. He should verify his BIOS sets the HDD as the primary boot device and, upon power-on, press the correct boot option button to start installation directly from USB rather than through the OS interface. After completion, a reboot should launch the OS with the HDD loaded and initiate the new Windows setup. I performed two separate clean installs on my current system to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit; otherwise, I remained stuck in 32-bit mode, which wasn't a proper clean install.
Thanks for reaching out! I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm here to assist you with any questions or issues you're facing.
