Hello everyone, I've been facing this unusual issue for a few months now. Every morning when I power on my PC, it displays an APIDA's IP like 169.254.xx.xx. After restarting, it shows a valid IP such as 192.168.xx.xx. I believe this isn't related to the router; it seems to be connected to my computer itself, which seems to reset automatically when I turn it off. Also, I can't use ipconfig /release or /renew while having that APIDA's IP assigned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are there similar gadgets exhibiting this pattern? Do they connect via wired or wireless means? Could you provide the brand/model of the adapter? When you use the network troubleshooter, does it pinpoint the issue and fix it? Have you attempted to set a fixed LAN IP address for your PC?

Checked the admin panel for unusual configurations on your main device and counted the additional machines connected to your network.

I've looked into the router and found no mention of my PC. At the moment, I'm connected to just three devices—a router acting as a repeater, a smartphone, and this PC.

Do you have a switch that isn't managed? Is your configuration: computer → unmanaged switch → default gateway?

I believe I may have missed the details of your configuration. You mentioned a main router and a repeater, with a PC connected to the main router which then connects to a default gateway. Please clarify if anything needs adjustment.

The model number of your Principal router is [insert model], and the Default Gateway model is [insert model].
