It happened with the case and the RGBs activated (just red in its simple design). I can't adjust any settings or colors, so I'm confused about how it works. The red pattern spins around the case and functions, but I don't have control over its appearance or style.
This guide comes from the box with the HUB included; it matches my unit, though the versions available online use a different SATA port.
Sure, the online version also doesn't reference connecting a SATA power source during setup—it just says "SATA in yours," which implies it should be there. Those large connectors make me a bit concerned, so unless someone else has advice, I’d recommend reaching out to their customer support for clarification.

It's quite simple, just connect the SATA voltage cable to the part with three contacts (as shown in the picture). It might seem odd at first, but I encountered the same issue on a project from a friend. Once fixed, all the LEDs functioned properly and the case looked better, giving it a more professional appearance. I hope this works for you too.
