Not sure about compatibility, but I've activated it before. It seems to stay linked to your account, and you can reuse the key if needed.

It would function because an ISO is essentially a perfect duplicate of the disc. The key is linked to your profile, ensuring it works when reused.

When you reinstall, try to retrieve your previous login details (email or password) if possible. Then, after logging into GFWL, the game should appear correctly? I haven’t used GFWL in a long time, so I’m unsure if it will function properly... It’s okay to delete and restart if needed.
