It will cost less over time since when the i3 is insufficient you can simply replace the CPU instead of having to upgrade the motherboard, unlike choosing 860K.

Check YouTube for precise figures on BF3 and 4. The future sales of GTA V remain uncertain, so you should wait another week for a reliable estimate. You might end up with an i5 Broadwell (5000) next year, possibly a Skylake i5 (6000). If you're planning upgrades, consider the K version then.

I'll need to upgrade my memory for the I5 4440. My current RAM is Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H, and I don't want to replace it every year.

Is the matter about expense or stock supply in your region? If saving a little longer is possible and needed, I believe it’s worthwhile.
