Many users on this forum have tried G2A and discovered it can be very helpful. However, I’m curious about why The Witcher 3 is available for just 23 euros on G2A but 60 euros on GOG. I’m puzzled as to how a retailer can charge significantly more than the original store price for legal copies. Please share your thoughts if you know the explanation.

Basic idea – not every purchase is fair. Every time you buy from G2A, you hurt those who can't pay for the game themselves. You get copies from poorer regions where costs are cheaper and then sell them at a higher price. It’s really unsettling to support a product made this way if you could afford it on Steam or another platform.

Codes are purchased in regions with lower costs, some items are acquired during promotions, others are obtained through hacked accounts, and more. Additionally, certain codes come from GPU sales, which people then resell online.

I purchase vintage titles from G2A priced under $20, receiving around $1 to $5 each time.

Legal is a term that doesn't apply to g2a. As everyone said before, games are bought from a country where their price is low, then sold at a profit. Or if you buy something like windows, there is a really high chance you are buying a key that you can get from pirating windows.

In the final Arma 3 sale on Steam I purchased 10 copies of the extended edition for €29.99, now they cost €59.99. I'm listing them on G2A for €44. It's a profit.

G2A falls into a very ambiguous zone, often treated as permissible since the games available there are typically authentic copies and valid keys.

Interesting detail: certain individuals participate in trading profits from in-game items, resell those items, purchase games, and then exchange them as gifts on g2a to convert Steam earnings into actual money.
